Blackberry Bourbon Sour

Indulging in a blackberry bourbon sour is a sensory delight; it's a harmonious blend of tangy lemon, muddled blackberries' sweet essence, and the rich depth of bourbon. With each sip, the zesty citrus notes swiftly intertwine with the fruity sweetness, while the bourbon's warmth elegantly complements the medley.

Ingredients

Ingredients for blackberry bourbon sour

  • Juice of 1 lemon 1 ounce
  • Juice of one small cutie orange 1 ounce
  • 12 Driscoll’s blackberries
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 large round or square cube of ice
  • 3 drops orange bitters

Instructions

  • Add lemon juice, orange juice and all but 4 blackberries to cocktail shaker. Add in 4 leaves of rosemary. Muddle the fruit and juices and rosemary. Add simple syrup and bourbon. Set aside while you make the garnish.
  • Remove most of the leaves from a rosemary sprig, leaving enough on the end as shown in photo. Use a metal cocktail pick to stab thru 4 blackberries. Remove the pick and poke the rosemary stem through the berries to create a garnish. Set aside.
  • Place large ice cube into glass. Add smaller ice cubes into the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain over the ice cube in the glass. Drop in 3 drops of orange bitters over the ice cube. Add the blackberry garnish.
