- 1 3/4 cups ketchup
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons ancho chili powder
- 2 teaspoons mesquite powder
Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl with a spout.

Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
Cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until the sauce has reduced and thickens.
