Apple Shots

Indulge in the delightful world of apple shots – a craft cocktail that tantalizes your taste buds with a symphony of flavors! This after-dinner dessert drink features an exquisite blend of three different liquors, boasting the pièce de résistance – our very own homemade Apple cinnamon bourbon. Prepare to be enchanted as we artfully layer Amaretto, Kahlua, and the delectable bourbon to craft a taste sensation like no other. To add a final flourish of charm, we crown it with a dollop of velvety whipped cream and a fragrant cinnamon stick.

These apple shots are a great after dinner dessert drink to serve. Apple cinnamon bourbon mingling with almond and coffee flavors create an amazing flavor! The addition of the whipped cream gives it creaminess! You can also add this to a cup of coffee!

We used spray whipped cream to top these apple shots off. The cinnamon sticks are scented with bourbon, as they are the ones that we used to make our apple cinnamon bourbon. A craft cocktail is such a fun drink to make! And if you don’t want to add bourbon, just use 1 ounce each of the amaretto and Kahlua, and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Make your own cinnamon apple bourbon for these apple shots!

What you will need for these Apple Shots:

Amaretto: Amaretto is a sweet almond-flavored liqueur that adds a rich and nutty taste to the apple shot. Its sweet and slightly bitter notes complement the natural sweetness of the apple and create a balanced flavor profile.

Kahlua: Kahlua is a coffee-flavored liqueur, and its addition to the apple shot brings a delightful coffee undertone to the mix. The combination of coffee and apple flavors adds depth and complexity, making the shot more interesting and enjoyable.

Apple Cinnamon Bourbon: This specific bourbon variety infuses the shot with the distinct flavors of apple and cinnamon. The apple flavor enhances the main ingredient, while cinnamon provides a warm and spicy kick, creating a delightful autumnal or winter-themed taste experience.

Spray Whipped Cream: The spray whipped cream serves both as a garnish and as a taste enhancer. Its creamy and sweet texture complements the flavors of the other ingredients, giving the shot a smooth and indulgent mouthfeel. Moreover, the visual appeal of the whipped cream adds to the overall enjoyment of the drink.

Cinnamon Sticks: Cinnamon sticks are used as a garnish and offer a more intense and aromatic cinnamon flavor compared to ground cinnamon. As you take the shot, the cinnamon stick can be swirled in the drink, releasing its warm fragrance and infusing the shot with a delightful cinnamon essence.

Together, these ingredients combine to create a flavorful apple shot with a well-rounded taste, featuring the sweetness of amaretto, the coffee notes of Kahlua, the apple-cinnamon warmth of bourbon, the creaminess of whipped cream, and the aromatic touch of cinnamon sticks. It’s a delicious and inviting concoction that pleases both the palate and the senses.

Love these! I’ve always been a sucker for apple-y flavors, especially come fall. I’ll take apple spice over pumpkin spice anyway. Definitely making these again!
